What is a Creatyr?
Creatyrs are the family of Rikkor kitbash beings. A Creatyr can be anything related to the Rikkor kitbashes: the Rikkorchi, the Rikkorvali, and the other Rikkor kitbashes that join them, including kitbashes that have not been born yet.
Every Creatyr shares the nature described in this lore. The Rikkorchi were the first of the Creatyrs, and the Rikkorvali and the kitbashes still to come belong to the same family.
Creatyrs are liminal creatures that exist at the boundary between matter and drift, born not from soil or flesh alone, but from quiet places where the world thins.
Unlike true Rikkors, Creatyrs are not defined by a single species origin, but by a shared evolutionary path: bodies optimized for lightness, stability, and survival in midair environments.
Fundamental Classification

- Born from whatever the thinning place provides: not biological reproduction in the traditional sense
- Liminal natives: they belong to thresholds, edges, and in-between places

They can be spirit, plant, or anything in between, whatever the thinning place provides. No two are born the same way, because no two thinning places leak the same kind of silence. Whatever its birth, every Creatyr carries something of both, and can shift between Plant Mode and Spirit Mode, as told in the chapter on Driftcraft.
Creatyrs are not only creatures of the drift. They are builders too, and the technology they make to follow thresholds into hostile worlds is described in Chapter 8.
They are rare, elusive, and unlike anything else in the world, brought to life inside VRChat by a community that shares their wonder.
